Intro to Strings
If you're just starting to learn to play, or interested in beginning to study a string instrument and want to have the opportunity to play in a group class with others - this is a great place to start your journey.
We welcome beginning and brand new violin, viola and cello players to come learn the fundamentals of playing a string instrument, and then we'll advance on to playing in ensembles, where each player has their own part to play.
Students who advance quickly will be invited to participate in the String Ensemble starting in January, while others will choose to stay in the smaller ensemble and continue to build individual performance and ensemble playing skills.
What you'll need: An instrument and a committment to play for the year.
Rental instruments are a great way to play a higher-quality instrument without the stress of purchasing one (especially if your child is still growing!) I highly recommend Ifshin Violin as the best play to go to be fitted for an instrument.
We provide: The expertise, the music, and you'll get a music stand the first day that you are responsible for taking with you (along with your instrument and music) to each of our weekly rehearsals.

String Ensemble
The String Ensemble is made up of slighty more advanced string players who have been taking private lessons for at least a year and are ready for more challenging music, with more advanced technique.
We work on all different kinds of music, some of which the kids decide on! The atmosphere is light, and we welcome performers with a variety of skills and different styles.
Music comes alive when you take what you learn in your private lessons and get a chance to play together with others. Join us!
We always play several public concerts throughout the year.
What you'll need: Your instrument and a committment to play with our group for the year.
