Donna Eyestone

I am the conductor and director of the Alameda Education Foundation Youth String Ensemble, and also teach the beginning violin classes through AEF. I really enjoy working with beginning players and those that need special care. I keep it fun and try to help students gain a love of music-making that will last a lifetime.

I have a MFA from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in integrated electronic arts, with an emphasis in composition, an MFA from Mills College Center for Contemporary Music in electronic music and recording media, and a BA in liberal art from Clark University with an emphasis on computer music composition. I have played the violin since childhood, and enjoy playing in a trio with my daughter (violin) and husband (cello).
